The soccer authorities might not take kindly to this kind of blatant manipulation of the system but it seems that the young man is going places in the world of soccer and that he has a bright future waiting for him even if he does not make it to the World Cup. Being young it is conceivable that he will get another chance to prove himself on the international stage.
It is far better to wait for the right moment than to push things and then find that it all comes back to haunt him in the future. I believe that he has a good chance to go to South Africa even if none of the guaranteed players gets an injury. He does seem to have the talent and drive that should make him a formidable World Cup opponent for any national side.
